Educational trail: Nelesní krajina (Non-forest landscape)
The Non-forest landscape (Nelesní krajina) educational trail takes you around the village of Kvilda and is marked with the symbol of a shrew beetle in the terrain. From the information boards, you will learn something about the development and emergence of the forestless area around Kvilda, about the development and creation of the landscape, about farming and human activity in the landscape in a historical context.

Educational trail: Modrava - Hradlový most Rechle (Gate bridge)
The educational trail, about 2.5 km long, starts at the parking lot in Modrava and leads along the Vydra River to Hradlový most. Visitors will discover the unique natural scenery of the Vydra River on the route. The trail is led through unimproved forest and meadow terrain, through wet places on a roofed walkway and is intended exclusively for hikers. 4 information boards are installed on the educational trail, which draw attention to the natural phenomena through which the educational trail passes. On the river Vydra, on the animals living in the local waters, on the vegetation growing in the adjacent wetlands and on the geological processes that created the unique stone formations.

During the rains, the trail is difficult to walk!

Educational trail: Modrava - Filipova Huť
The educational trail Modrava leads from the bus stop in Modrava in the direction of Filipova Huť. On the route you will meet 3 information boards that will introduce you to the mountain forest, the flora of the mountain meadows, the aquatic fauna and the forest flora.

The source of the Vltava
At the foot of Černá hora (1172m) south of Kvilda, there is a symbolic source of the longest Czech river Vltava. Here it bears the name Teplá Vltava.

mountain Luzný
Luzný (Lusen in German) is a mountain located in the central part of the German side of the Šumava in the Bavarian Forest National Park, close to the state border with the Czech Republic. It measures 1,373 meters and stands out among the Šumava mountains with the largest stone sea that covers its top. The stone sea at the top of Luzné is included in the list of "100 most beautiful geotopes in Bavaria".

Length of route 1: Finsterau - Luzný - Finsterau: 14 km (must use CZ bus Kvilda - Bučina and then DE bus Bučina - Finsterau)

Lake marsh
This is a well-known wetland in the mountain saddle between Kvilda and Horská Kvilda, equipped with a lookout tower.

Three-lake marsh
The Trijezerní slát is a part of the complex of peat bogs of the Modravská slát. The mire is a typical example of a mountain plateau with three peat lakes.
Many rare plants grow here, such as the swamp pine, the bisexual sedge, the dwarf birch and the carnivorous round-leafed tree frog. Among the animals here, you will see a large number of brightly colored dragonflies flying around.
Here you will find a 250-meter-long educational trail that leads around three peat lakes

Visitor Center - Deer and Lynx Runs
Visitor center dedicated to the deer and the island lynx. The outdoor area includes a deer and lynx enclosure.

Visitor Center - Wolf Run
A visitor center dedicated to the animals with an indoor exhibition showing the life of wolves and their coexistence with humans. The outdoor area includes a wolf enclosure with a viewing platform.

Visitor center - Sovinec (owl aviaries)
At the edge of the area there is an entrance building with an exposition for detailed information about the presented species with a small service background. The visitor route between the individual aviaries is solved using a wooden path with extended observation points.
